Private Sewing Lessons
Private Sewing Lessons
We all learn differently! 1:1 classes are the learning method of choice for some of our community.
Our sewing lessons are a great introduction to this life skill whilst having a lot of creative fun along the way. It's perfect for both absolute beginners and a refresher course for those who haven't sewed in a while or want to increase their skills and knowledge.
You can learn how to sew in your own home or in my studio in Lane Cove. I can travel to you if you are on the Lower North Shore or please enquire about other locations for a travel fee.
You will learn:
How to thread the machine and wind a bobbin
How to set up your machine and basic part names and functions
How to create a simple pattern
How to cut and pin fabric
How to sew straight lines and zig-zag
Basic seam construction and neatening techniques as well as pressing
At the end of this class, you will take home your own handmade item, a cushion, bag or a basic piece if handmade clothing!
Beginner-friendly.
